She Knows the Way

This piece was inspired by a photograph taken on a country road in Washington County Pennsylvania by the artist.b “My desire since to create a fabric art piece of this stunning creature. Ever since this Vixen posed for me, I have become curious about the fox. Such a presentation offered at the right place and the right time is, to me, more than a coincidence. In many cultures Fox lore has a special meaning. The fox has an acute sense of her surroundings and is noted as the most cunning of forest creatures. She knows her way around and can track a mouse far beneath layers of leaves, debris and even many feet of snow. She has an uncanny radar that enables her to sense her whereabouts, and to track daily fare. In a sense, the fox is a light; to find the way, and truth. So hence my adding the moths to the scene. We are attracted to light, as the moths, to find the way, and truth.” Inspired by a photograph taken by the artist.  This became a desire to create an art piece. The fox has an acute sense of her surroundings. A light to find the way. Adding moths to the scene to symbolize how we are attracted to light, as moths, to find the way, and truth.” Inspired by a photograph taken by the artist.  This became a desire to create an art quilt. The fox has an acute sense of her surroundings. A light to find the way. Adding moths to the scene to symbolize how we are attracted to light, as moths, to find the way, and truth.”
